The Greene County Ram varsity volleyball game played at the Winterset tournament Oct. 14 and won two games of the eight games they played.
Game scores against Atlantic were 10-21, 21-18, 4-15. Scores against Treynor were 3-21, 8-21, and scores against Norwalk were 23-21, 20-22, 8-15.
“This is a competitive tournament for us, but one where we can compete with other 2A, 3A and 4A schools. We definitely were competitive with Atlantic and Norwalk, winning one game in each match. We just struggled to put together enough games to win any matches,” coach Donna Carhill said. “We did serve well – 90 percent as a team – and when we put together our offense we were able to have some success.”
Samantha Hardaway served 20 of 20 and had three aces. Chantel Flack served at 21 of 21 with one ace and had 36 digs. Ashley Millard served at 29 of 31.
Megan Durbin had 28 kills and Lilly Muir had five kills. Aubrey Heupel had 41 assists and 19 digs.
